These services are meant for people with intellectual (developmental) disability, from all sectors of the populating, age 21 and up to old age.
The housing system serves as a warm, welcoming home, a setting for rich recreational activity, a place to mingle socially and become part of a community – all under one roof.

The different housing options (Bait BaHoresh Hostel, apartments in the community) are set up and equipped following the most current standards, keeping to the quality of life we believe in and are all found in the Galilee region, surrounded by nature and close to community centres.

Every tenant receives personal attention according to their abilities, needs and wishes, constantly striving for improvement in their quality of life and independence. At the same time, a constant, loving and regular connection with the families is maintained.

The housing system operates within a community and as part of it, with many regular volunteers who add to the social togetherness, make recreation activities more diverse and encourage the sense of community belonging.

The housing system staff includes a manager, social worker, advancement programs coordinator, recreation and community relations coordinator, physiotherapist, psychiatrist and counsellors.

Vocation

Merkaz Cochav Ma’alot Tarshiha association acts in full collaboration with the Cochav Hatzafon association, which operates vocation centers for people with disabilities in many areas throughout the Golan and Galilee.

These centers offer rehabilitation, employment and social options in one place.

Occupational levels include working from home, sheltered employment, supported employment and free market employment.

The employment centers work together as a network and members can move from one occupational setting to another if they wish to, and if the population of each center is suitable to them.

The centers are run by staff comprised of a manager/social worker, counselors and volunteers. Members receive a hot meal every day, activities during break times and monthly differential allowance taking different measures into account.
The association also employs people with disabilities as its own workers.
